Directors Message

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the sponsors of our match for their unwavering support - The sponsor help make our match that much more rewarding in terms of prizes but also in logistical support that help this match take place.

Thank you to Barrett, PGW Defence, Dave's Tactical, Wolverine Supplies, P&D Enterprise, Hirsch Precision, The Shooting Edge and Ruag,Highland Rescue and Safety, Atomic Flashlight, Adams Lake Barrel's, Abbottsford Tactical Shooters, McMillan, Tactical Tailor, Revision and TDD (For getting me the plaques - Fantastic job!)

Folks those of you that won prizes please contact the sponsor and thank them for the prizes they donated and their support of our event.

I very much would like to thank Ed Bergsma for his fantastic efforts in the Butts as well as his assistants, Ryan, Glen and Paul. Without them this match couldn't have happened.

Thank you MCpl Ian Millar, the Match RCO who did an exceptionally good job of running the line. His even temperament and good nature helped bring down some of the shooters temperatures despite the oppressive heat.

Paul Joukso- I think I can speak for the rest of the participants of our match - THANK YOU for this years service but also for your previous years of volunteering. Without Paul the match would be exponentially harder to run.

Thank you once again to the shooters that helped out at the match and helped pick up & drop off markers.

To the shooters that offered their support for next years shoot -Matt Hnatuk I will be knocking on your door (so to speak) in the next few months to take advantage of your offer.

On behalf of all the regulars I’d like to say a big thank you to the new shooters who came out to see what all the fuss is about. I hope you enjoyed the experience and look forward to seeing you again next year

To all the regular shooters of this match I save the most heart felt thanks for you. Without your constant and enthusiastic support and motivation this match would not even take place .

This years match finished more than 40 rounds up on previous years. We not only stepped up the round count but we turned up the difficulty of the event by taking the shooter to longer distances and shooting at targets and a course of fire not previously encountered.

I would like to acknowledge the efforts of Mike Cook and John Larmont. Both gentlemen although distracted with pressing matters in their personal lives still managed too provide noteworthy assistance and encouragement in making this match happen this year but also in previous years. Thank you my friends

I look forward to the event next year and hope to see a lot of regular face and hopefully a bunch of new ones. I will be back at getting ready for 2011 in the next month or two and taking to heart lessons learned in 2010 both as Match director and also as a competitor and getting the match together for 2011.

Thank you to all.

Regards

Ed Begg
